Reflections on body image: All Party Parliamentary Group on Body Image.
Recently a group of MPs from different parties in the UK have come together to address the problem of body image. The group recently published a report, which has gained much media attention.
The report investigates the consequences of growing up in an appearance obsessed society, the impact the media, advertising industry and celebrity culture can have on body image, as well as, how our growing obsession with 'looks' can damage one's health. The report concludes by making a series of recommendations (page 72) designed to address the problem.
